Arc Raiders

A lot of fun so far, already had some intense extractions! Had a moment where we were fighting a team by an extract, trying to avoid a leaper that was targeting both of us and then each of us would be downed at some point. Ended up somehow sneaking into extract and getting away!

Buried City is a beautiful looking map as well.

They did, I havent played it either but hear good things about it, the bigger piece of promising info imo is that its made by some of the original DICE devs, you know...from back when BF was good ;)
 
getting loads of lag with this which has already meant me having to leave the game once and lose a load of gear!!

Played all morning and took an hours break. So far the balance of fun has been pretty positive. A lot more people are prepared to be friendly in solo if you say hello over the mic or use the in game emotes to indicate friendly, no one who responded friendly in return has backstabbed me yet, a couple responded with bullets which is fair enough. Probably the most fun I had was working with some utter lunatic in the center green area of the buried city, we were running around just pulling what seemed like an infinite amount of Arc until we extracted down the metro completely out of ammo and stacked. At one point I think there was about 7-8 of them on us, we were camping the bottom of the metro steps and there was this almighty racket above us.

Another round we team up at the last minute to extract with a leaper causing havoc near us, one guy batmans in through the door at the last second. I caught it on instant replay.

I know it's the usual day one hype / love everything vibe but I've genuinely had so much fun playing today.

Just following the quests, swapping between all 3 maps depending on what we're going after with quests or loot and then balancing PvE with PvP has just been so good. I've got some nicely upgraded weapons now and managed to loot a medium shield which has meant I'm a little more confident going into engagements and most of the smaller Arcs are a non-issue, sitting at level 8 at the minute!

That dive in by the guy at the end was hilarious, so good.
 
Its hit 200k concurrent now on Steam, so my prediction of 300k tonight and 500k over the weekend is looking good, very good numbers for a PvPvE extraction game (already beaten the concurrents for Tarkov and Hunt Showdown)
