Hi guys I've had an unraid server for some years now and it's time for an upgrade....I've not kept my eye on new hardware for some time so I'm looking for a build with more power,bigger cpu with built in gpu as I want to use a Intel gpu instead of a nvidia graphics card for transcoding in emby .A bigger motherboard for at least 8 hard drives. And probably 64gb of ram also a normal tower case which will take at least 8 hard drives . I've currently got 4 nas drives and looking to boost to 8 .
I was thinking of either an i7 or i9 ....I'm coming from a i3 which is at least 7 years old thanks for any advice given.
I will be using docker and vms as well.
