The Intel Arc owners thread

There's a large performance increase in BF6 with the BF6-ready drivers.

Saw that Intel dropped a new driver update and decided to test my B580 again. Look at that! My B580 can now run the game at [1440p at] Ultra/High with XeSS set to Balanced at 90-110fps. Tested different game modes and fps stays consistent.

Looking at building a budget/mid tier gaming of for my nephew and looking budget but decent GPU. He’s mainly plays R6 Seige, Fortnite etc with the odd sp AAA game. For price at the min with free BF6 the B580 looks a great deal.

In terms of a budget GPU would the B580 be a good shout? He’s currently running an intel i5 with a RTX 5050 would it be a decent bump or would a 4060 or something be better.

B580 would definitely be better, but if he’s running an rtx5050, how old is the i5? Does he *really* need the system upgrade right now?
I’m not fan of the 5050 at all, but there are many worse cards someone could be running currently.

Clearing stock for the B770, I hope!

Nope I just manage to cut an epic deal with a distributor who was having cash flow issues, made a crazy offer to take everything and they accepted.
If this was clearing stock, it would be channel wide and from looking at our competitors they are like over £50 more expensive per card, they cannot compete with OcUK on these. :)

Worth getting the Sparkle Titan OC instead of the Intel Limited Edition?
I know the Sparkle runs roughly 10c cooler, but there are a fair amount of reports mentioning coil whine.

Randomly checked to see if OCUK has Intel Arc Pro B50 available, and they do, on pre-order though, it's 50 quids cheaper than I expected, not bad, 299.99 is still a bit on the expensive side though, but for my other build + use case, it's perfect (it ticks all the requirements, small form factor GPU, powered entirely via PCIe, 16GB+ of VRAM)

On the Adamant IT podcast today he said that he's been trying the B580 in earnest and he's very pleased with it and it exceeded all expectations.

Edit: previously he was rather sceptical and wary of the card.

I ended up sending back my B580. It was good enough for gaming but I have some CCTV footage I need to review sometimes and I cant get it to play on the B580. Thinking of getting a 9060 XT 16gb for £299 to replace it
