Mountain Biking

Just bought a 2nd hand mountain bike and it has this on the stem. Can anyone enlightne me please, I've cheked the K-Edge website and it looks to be some sort of mount for a computer, but I'm at a loss as to what kind.

Thanks.

I think it's more for camera. I had a knock off Go-Pro at one point that had a mount like the male version of that.

Picked up the new park steed today.

BPW Monday and Dyfi end of the month. Stored it in the most secure location at work

Nice :)

Since you posted the link to the Saracen Myst Pro above I've been looking at specs and video's on YT. I'll probably get the black Pro model for £3.6k for myself and the Marin Quake for my son.
That will be early next year though - Seems pointless buying them now and having them sit in the garage through Winter.

I’ve not ridden it yet. Bought it based on the spec sheet Vs cost and others recommendations.

I wanted an S.200 but couldn’t justify the extra cost. I would have got the pro if the black was in stock. I couldn’t bring myself to get the pink one so stumped up the extra.

Will report how well I get on with it at BPW on Monday. Guys I’m riding with are dirt jumpers so it will likely be a day of jump lines.

They do.

Only bike I have spare wheels for is the e-bike. Fitted shredda radials to my old hunt wheelset to use for the winter slop.

This Myst team came with fr541 rims so hopefully will survive what I’m capable of throwing at them.

Very interested to see what you think of it. I hired one for a day when I was last in Portes du Soleil and it was good, but definitely a race-focused bike which translated as feeling somewhat harsh to my ageing body.

Do you ride flats or clips?

Would be worth getting yourselves down to Caersws and doing some test-riding before committing. Everyone who likes mavity-oriented riding should ride a downhill bike at least once, but owning one is a different proposition.

First ride today.

Wish i had bought one sooner for bike park stuff. It feels so planted and like im in control. Best way i can explain it is I feel i hardly need to use the brakes. If i feel like im carrying to much speed no problem, just lean the bike into it and it just goes.

I have Zeb ultimates on my ebike and going to the fox 40s they did feel a bit harsher. I added a couple of clicks of HSC and LSC and they felt a bit more compliant. I will tweak this over time.

I ride flats. I have bought some magpeds to try but will work upto that as i get used to the bike.

I havent ridden caersws yet. Group im riding with are looking at doing a private uplift if we can get the numbers as most of us cant ride Saturdays.

Was worried the High Rollers would be a bit slippy but they had tons of grip, no issues with grip all day. Pedalling on this is another proposition, I only rode on the other side of the hill once. Not riding that link road again.

Before and After

What trails did you ride yesterday and did you venture onto anything different from normal with your new-found confidence?

ended up doing a fair few runs on A470 to practice my jumps.

Did cole not dole and Zut Alors which ive not done before. Wanted to try boomslang but its really wet i was told. Also tried the quarry skills area for a few mins.

Sounds awesome ! Can't wait to get our DH bikes :)

Our last trip to BPW was a couple of weeks ago, we rode the new Ych a Fi trail and it was a slop fest! Completely unrideable and I could barely lift my bike after with the amount of weight of mud on it.
We were straight to the wash too :) Four washes it took to clear these two
