A Curve Ball

They've done some great cars...MC12...but I kinda agree, they've never really been on my radar as something I'd want to own...

Am I the only one who has never seen the appeal of Maserati?
They're just a bit more exclusive than mid life crisis M4 or neck tattoo in an AMG, primer grey 340i, blue 320d m sport etc.

Perhaps not these days though as they're relatively affordable.

Not to mention the proper ones sound great. Ferrari engines. What else do you need?

It's this. Before I knew anything about cars at all, I was stood next to someone as they got in their Maserati and drove off. My brain just went What's that noise and I was sold. I'm still not big into car noises honestly, but that controlled, almost hidden away roar is amazing.

Literal 5 second search on YT reveals a plethora of :

Should be mentioned that the diesel one has speakers (inside and out) to cover up the diesel sounds with fake, petrol V6 noises lol

But still, even with the good ones you are basically paying for a noise and not a lot else.

And this is an amazing car, out of reach for all of us unfortunately!

Not that you'd actually want to use one on British roads, even if you had the cash for one and could actually find one :D

They are gigantic cars.

Mind you a lot of it is in the tuning and market - most cars will sound more like that angry and rasping if you mess with the exhaust system - straight/dump pipes, etc. sadly it wouldn't be road legal but my Navara sounds insanely good for a diesel if you remove/deactivate some stuff.

Some of the models (I don't know the range that well) are noisy as standard. They have been designed that way iirc.

I highly doubt most cars will sound as good as a Masarati Ferrari/V8, unless of course they have a V8 under the bonnet.

Yeah - a 4 pot diesel at the end of the day is going to be pretty agricultural under the best of conditions. But a lot of vehicles can sound more towards that way if tuned for it.

One I've linked to before, not my video but same truck, my Navara sounds much nicer if you remove some of the exhaust bits:

Though I quite like how smooth it sounds under normal setup.
