Think you may be on to something here, I've noticed RDR2 performance changed to the worst today and it wasn't like this on my 5070ti a few days ago. I wonder if a re installation or going back a previous driver might help?

EDIT: didn't see your above comments, did you DDU then install 581.89?

Confused as the latest version of Nvidia game ready driver im using is 581.80 ( Cant see a 581.89 game ready or studio drivers )

EDIT: I googled nvidia hotfix drivers and found them, is there any point using these over Gameready/Studio? im sure my performance is worse using new drivers.

the first mistake was adopting the windows update staying well clear of that for 6 months at least

several friends have all shed tears of regret

Well I don't blame the update in this instance as I don't have any performance problems... Until I tried the new Nvidia hotfix atleast :cry:

your on a very similar system to one of them 5080 being the difference and he rolled his windows back
 
Decided to try the hotfixes again going by peoples claims of much higher frame rates.. Still think it's a placebo for most.

Used DDU this time, and while they were not as extreme in performance loss, I'm still getting a performance loss! Battlefield never dropped below 160 ( capped ), but with the hotfixes I'm seeing 140's

Back to the Vulkun I linked before and never drops once
 
If my drivers ain’t broke, I don’t upgrade. The last 4 times I’ve tried I had to DDU roll back.

Absolute shambles, the last time I was this frustrated as a pc gamer was 20 years ago when we were still manually patching games.
