I just wanna say to any McLaren fans who were poking fun at Ferrari's car prep after LH's disqualification in China for the same thing:

""

Anyway. Title's still for Norris to lose. It's going to take some seriously poor luck for both him and Piastri to see Verstappen nick the championship out from under them. Obviously if a way could be found to manage it then McLaren's the team you wouldn't be at all surprised to see it from (2007 anyone?). But I really don't see it happening.

Reactions: Dup
both mclarens take each other out and max wins the championship

have to say, despite vegas being a bit boring and the silly american stuff, I thought the commentary was appalling

Terry Crews: I'm driving a pink lego car at the end
Ted: a pink and yellow car, that's odd

Jenson: He's dropped places, I think he has a problem
Crofty: He's just had a pit stop

Crofty: Hamilton closing the gap, he's making the overtake on this lap <<< It's Leclerc

Norris dropping 0.5 - 1 sec a lap <<< Silence until right at the end

I knew Norris had a problem about 5 laps before they said anything

Wow, shambolic by McLaren

Max would still have to close 24 points in the remaining race. Seems unlikely.
Yea, very unlikely unless McLaren drop the ball again, which, tbf, is likely.

It'll be sad if McLaren win. Should've been a completely dominant season for them but they somehow manage to fumble it race after race.

How can they get that so wrong? Surely someone must be fired over that if they lose the championship as a result?

Given they were testing rear wings on Friday and they had damp sessions in P3 so max speeds were less than today.

They then switched back to previous rear wings I believe so can see how they got the ride height slightly wrong, and we are talking slightly, post above says they were at most 0.12mm out

F1TV was decent commentary as usual but they also missed Norris dropping back for quite a few laps. Maybe an issue with the data they get (although I'm sure they all get the feed we see too). Tiny screens mind you.

Lots of pressure on Oscar now. Not only does he have his teammate on great form, he's got Max between them now.

At least it's now unlikely we'll see the title be won at a sprint race, that was my worry. Lando needs to think like Prost and just bring it home rather than force any mistakes. He more than deserves it after this year's comeback and last year's late year challenge.

Well well well, Max to win it in the last race drama ? At least it's made it interesting to the end

I'm guessing lando still takes it , max 2nd and Oscar 3rd

Seems like poorly designed testing/race prep processes. 0.12mm you say, but it is enough to disqualify and potentially lose the championship.

Amateur Hour.

McLaren already won.
They won the WCC ages ago, which makes the fact that they're still fighting for the WDC worse.

Very few fans care about the WCC anyway, I think Lewis said as much in a recent interview. The teams obviously care because of the money but most people support drivers.

Worst commentary ever, 3 laps to go and he’s saying Lando is definitely going to win the championship.
TV completely missed it all as usual.

It's doable, but difficult

Max pretty much has to win both races and the sprint, and Lando to finish 3rd or lower I think? Unless he has a crash of course and then anythings possible

Glad I didn’t wake up for that. Although rather ****** off I wasted 2hrs watching something that Liberty was going to fix anyway
This feels like a fix to make the end of the season more exciting, wouldn’t put it past the FIA
Yup.

Commentators curse on steroids.

And what’s with Max getting DOTD. He didn’t even put a move on Norris for the win, didn’t put a move on anyone. Should be Antonelli by a country mile.
