TimeSplitters Rewind

This got cancelled ages ago dude.
They took legal action against the team.

EDIT: It's back? WTF how? They got serious threats and were made to cancel everything and take it all down?

That should be interesting.

I never owned the originals, but played them with friends and bought a PS3 (in part) so I could play the exclusive. That went well.

The first was 'OK' but the 2nd was the best. The 3rd is pretty good, but the 2nd is the GOAT of the series in most peoples eyes.

Why is the game free?

Our original agreement with the IP holders was that the game would not be made for any form of profit. We truly made this game for passion and learning.
Obviously they came to an agreement :p

I just had a look around and the cover of the 2nd one is the one that feels most familiar - so probably was that I played. Played a lot of that and Red Faction 2 on the PS2.

Time Splitters on PC with a mouse sounds better than on Console with a gamepad
Blasphemy!

Yeah, it was the best one for sure!
I loved Red Faction 1, bar the laughable plot haha, but no one cared when you could blow holes in everything and make tunnels :D
Didn't really play much of the 2nd one, IIRC it wasn't as good.

Yeah the plot was mad. I don't remember the campaign of the second one, but the split-screen deathmatches kept us entertained for hours.

Haha, the pathetic bad guy that you kill early on, then it just gets hilarious. The ending randomly throws some stupid randomly generated combination puzzle - despite having none of this in the entire game  then a terrible cutscene and you're done :P
Yeah split-screen deathmatches were amazing!
I was still playing it on the PS2 with friends up until a few years ago :) It still holds up!
