Not in registrations. The Xenforo switch happened when we weren't quite expecting it, suddenly the forums were down for a few hours and then when they came back, the change had been made. @Hilly and I spent many hours online that night!
Good old days dude!

I was here from the very early days when words like ********* were not banned after 1 person got their feelings hurt :p

When I rejoined in 2003 I made a post and got suspended but no idea why.
After suspension I made the same post and got suspended again with no reason why.
I went straight up to OCUK, went into Spie's office where he looked at what I'd done.
He laughed and said "You've mentioned *** no competitor mentions allowed *** twice, you can't do it".
He told me to take the suspension or else it wouldn't be fair on other users, read the rules and don't do it again :)
I still haven't read the rules.

I was definitely active on the forum before the big nuke, but I also have vague memories of an earlier forum - maybe phpBB? - which may or may not have been OcUK

I originally signed up because I was wanting to put together my first PC, probably in either 1999 or early 2000 - which I *think* was a 750Mhz Thunderbird overclocked to 900Mhz, one of the bundles OcUK were selling :D Pretty sure that was with a Geforce 2 GTS (?).

I remember getting excited when I received the despatch email, and inviting my experienced PC-building friend over to help me build the PC... on a Saturday, when I was naively expecting the delivery, without realising that the courier didn't deliver on weekends unless you paid extra! I think we just sat in my bedroom all day waiting :D He was not best pleased.

Then on probably the Tuesday after I went over to his place with all the bits and he helped me put the thing together, as it was the first time I'd ever built a computer. He was also doing some upgrades on his PC at the time, so we were both messing about with components on his dining room table :) I distinctly remember installing Windows 98 and Q3 and trying to get the network settings right so that we could play some 1v1.

Nostalgia is a powerful thing!

Was your original username Karen? Marching into the managers(owners) office because you got suspended on the forum is next level. :D

I can't remember exactly but originally in 1999 for a short time I think it was a subsection on another forum for overclockers that was phpbb, then the forums launched as their own thing late '99 using UBB? (the only screenshot i've got of that was it hacked), then moved to VVB, then the big nuke and a move to a newer version of VBB that could cope with the loads the forum was experiencing, then VBB3, then finally xenoforo

Who has the biggest suspension record out of interest? Name these rascals!

I could probably wallpaper my house with the warnings and suspensions I've had. I calmed down in recent years but I was quite active when Psycho Sonny was on the boards. I'd be amazed if anyone has had more naughty steps than me :p

That rings a distant bell - I remember something prior to vBulletin but only briefly before the forums were more standalone. I also remember them being more prominently associated with the main shop website, I think - possibly even a page actually on the main site rather than their own subdomain? Perhaps I'm hallucinating all this :p

I'm curious as to what change over the years caused the biggest uproar from users.

I seem to remember plenty disliking the change to xenforo (I can't imagine using the forum now with the previous vbb3), but was there any other change, the nuke perhaps, that caused dislike from the users?

I've been here for years.. Decades.. it feels that way sometimes, but maybe that's just me getting on. There's loads of things I remember. Obviously the nuke; but various arguments, suspensions, bans, permabans. But I also recall an episode where some female member posted some "inappropriate" photos on here, to various fanfare of course.
