Stranger Things (Netflix)

In two minds whether to save this until Pluribus has finished. Can only handle so many episodic cliff hangers at a time.

Watched 3 episodes now. Absolutely amazing so far. Within 10 minutes of the 1st one I already ignored the fact they all look too big for their ages. I immediately reconnected with the characters and the story. Still my favourite Netflix original show.

Also, music, amazing as always.

Rationing myself to one episode per night and last night it was episode two - Brutal and brilliant, a big step up from the first episode

Enjoyed the first four, really good!

The play was fantastic as well, probably the best one I've seen at the theatre. The intro where they're on the ship and the cut to the theme tune was incredible, the audience went nuts.

First episode was slow to get going but it soon ramped up from the second episode and enjoyed it from then on, took a while to get used to how old the cast looks

For the amount of money this season has cost there were several scenes were it looks shocking bad, like Steve and Jonathan on top of the tower in the first episode.

Episode 4 blew my mind. The existing characters get older and better every season and they always manage to find some amazing new young additions like Holly and Derek.

The budget for this season is allegedly $480 million

You can tell. It is extremely well done. We just binged all 4 at once. Best thing I have seen on telly/film for at least a decade if not more. It will be a shame for it all to end.

Bravo Netflix.

Also cannot remember the last time anything decent was on over Christmas either. Looking forward to the rest.

Just finished episode 4 a few minutes ago and it's the best thing I've seen in many a year! It's relentless, action piled on action and it's easy to see how the season had such an enormous budget and it was worth every penny.

I'm trying to get into this new season, but I'm finding it a bit off. I think Welcome to Derry has raised the bar!

The kids now all grown up are still trying to be like the kids they were in the previous seasons, while pouting some rather odd forced facial expressions at times.

Assume you're talking about Robins smiling?

The first 3 are fine, 4th is great.

I definitely have some things I find annoying

both fat derek and hollys parts feel really off, especially Hollys
