A moment of silence for the Crucial brand

Well this came as a surprise especially as they sempt to be going hard with gen 5 NVMe drives.

Hopefully they keep enough stock for RMA purposes, so far touch wood had no problems with my Crucial drives.

Crucial ballistix always will have a special place in my heart. I suspect in the long run they will be back but the sheer wall of money in enterprise can't really blame them for chasing it.

We must be very small fry now, ditched us completely
Yup. We are a tiny market compared to B2B sales.

Why sell a RAM kit to a retailer at 1X% margin when you can sell that same kit with a cheap green PCB and no heatsink to an AI data centre for 5X% margin?

People think that if retailers stop buying RAM that it’ll fix the market which is laughable when you see the volumes that the companies are directly trading in and that dwarf consumer volumes.
