Turns out i can't go in to Dog Town yet....

I ran about 5KM for nothing :cry:

@TNA its very different tech now compared to what it was in earlier implementations, i mean the first revision of DLSS made a 1440P upscaled to 4K image look like 720P. it was ******* awful.

The tech has come a very long way since then, no point in pretending its the same thing, it isn’t.

You guys make me laugh. Pointless debating in this thread as mods will be along soon once you summon them to delete it all anyway :cry:

But if you do want to unlock it then do the quests helping Judy to find Evelin then you get the quest to go find the Voodoo Boys then after that you should get a message from Somi asking for your help which unlocks dog town.
Or you could just start a new game and skip all the other stuff and just go straight to the Phantom liberty content :D

Genuine question; if it's only really noticeable with a 960fps camera, then is it really a huge issue...? That could be why others have not (yet) reported on it.

Its all just a bit silly really.
 
For anyone interested the iGPU issues are now all sorted, again I have to commend @AMD_Vik as I have seen he is very visible on both here and the AMD reddit thread and I am not sure these issues would get sorted as quickly if he were not around to report back to AMD.

Nice to have my memory clocks drop to 44mhz again whilst just browsing etc

I will have a play with Redstone over the weekend and see what else it brings.

Is it the fake frame early or the real one though? If it takes ages to make the fake frame and it's quickly followed by the real one to reduce latency, then that's not great. there's no way to make it better except holding up the next new frame.

If the fake frame is being make quickly then displayed too soon. then i would imagine there's a fix for that
 
I'd assume the fake frame is done immediately. To have a smooth cadence with VRR, they'd need to predict how long the next real frame will take and insert the fake frame at estimate/2.

they need to make the next frame first then the fake frame is kinda an average of the 2

Think it's just because he was testing it with VSync disabled for some reason AMD frame gen doesn't work properly with out VSync, TBH as far as frame gen goes for me at least AFMF2.1 in the driver always seems to work better might have a slight loss to image quality over FSR frame gen but it just feels a lot smoother.
