Hi there
Supers were originally scheduled/rumoured for a CES announcement with a potential on shelf launch in Q1, however with spiralling RAM cost, releasing cards with larger amounts of VRAM was not possible from both a supply and cost perspective.
I gambled this would happen and I am correct.
If I was to gamble again I'd suggest 2026 will see no new GPU product launches apart from adjustments in the low-end and mid-range potentially. With pushes on old SKU's such as 3050 / 3060 and a new push on 5060 Ti 8G. Expect to see AMD flogging the dead horse that is the 7600, LOL.
If I was to take an educated guess I'd say the market situation is as follows:
5060 - Consistent supply and pricing to remain as is, 5% increase at most. (BF lowest was £219)
5060 Ti 8G - To become new focus part, pricing to remain and expect it to be the SKU you see deals on in coming weeks and popular in SI. (BF lowest was £329)
5060 Ti 16G - Will become insanely scarce and pricing will rocket. (BF lowest was £379)
5070 - Remain in OK supply and expect price increases of 5-10% (BF lowest was £479)
5070 Ti - Will become pretty short on supply and expect prices to jump by around 10-20% (BF lowest was £679)
5080 - Tight supply but should be OK as suspect production from 5070 TI shall shift to 5080, prices up at least 10%. (BF lowest was £929)
5090- Expect to see lots of fancy all dancing OC versions appearing at some sky high pricing and regular priced SKU's will remain near impossible to get hold of in any volume. (BF Lowest, NV FE around £1800, other models £2100)
9060 XT 8G - 10% Price increase with OK supply (BF Lowest £259)
9060 XT 16G - 20% price increase and stock becoming scarce (BF lowest £329)
9070 - 10-20% price increase and stock thin on ground (BF lowest £449)
9070 XT - 10-20% price increases with OK supply. (BF lowest £539)
B570 - Minimum 30% increase (BF lowest £149)
B580 - Minimum 20% increase (BF lowest £195)
People will remember me screaming to buy over Black Friday as it was truly the best time to buy a GPU and Memory, 2026 is just going to be price increases and stock becoming thin on the ground. Everywhere prices are up since Black Friday, if anywhere still has cheap stock my advice is to buy it as they have simply not checked their replenishment cost and realised they are making nothing or losing money as 9060 XT 16G and 9070 XT have seen dramatic increases in January from the already slight increases that happened in December.
