How much are these speakers?!

€1650 (https://www.indianaline.com/product/utah-8/)

They do have a lower model (Utah 5) which are only €650. I'm kind of tempted by the lower model, but i know there'll always be a bit of me that regrets it. I've also toyed with the idea of building some again.

I could probably go with the cheaper model now, then look to build a similar style at a higher spec when time/budget allows. Would love to finish in a poplar burl veneer like these

What is the difference between the lower and bigger model?

If the tweeters are the same, then I would be tempted to fill the bass with a proper subwoofer, a BK XLX400 is £500. That way you get even better bass for less money.

Oh no. It's a weird one, as whilst the model numbers are the same. The 8 is a massive upgrade. The tweeter is different, mid range driver is different. There is also improved crossovers and internal dampening (proprietary suspension at the back of the 12" drivers to reduce vibrations rather than just reinforcing the cabinets)

The 8's weigh 27kg each vs 14kg of the 5's

Spoken to one dealer who are willing to offer 12 months 0% finance. Pretty much unheard of to get that over here so that would definitely swing it for me.

I swear since i ever hear of the word referenced as leetspeak , i always see this time when i look at the clock , its like a conspiracy

I had that happening a lot a few years back - around 2010 or so, not so much these days though that may be partly due to a change in my average daily schedule, etc.

Now that i have mentiond it, it will probably start happening to you again :)

Granola did that to your filling?

There must have been a weakness already (although i did have a checkup at the end of January.....see you in a year!) and just the crunch did it. A fair chunk came off including some shards of tooth but got an appointment this afternoon and it's been repaired. Thought it was going to give me some bother but didn't feel any discomfort being giong to the dentist so that was a bonus.

My athens trip is being delayed :( no idea on date yet, delayed due to circuit suppliers. I was supposed to be going out beginning of March, this could now be april mid or end)

I want to get away for a week

Bizarre how I had a separate fridge for my treatment 10 years ago, but now the stuff is recombinant, I've got to lose a day and take up a treatment chair...

Oh well, Tailscale & Artemis/Apollo to the rescue.

Words I didn't think I'd be reading but shouldn't be surprised by in 2026:

"Border Patrol was loaned a laser weapon system from the DOD that it used to shoot down a party balloon, contributing to the shutdown of El Paso airspace"

Nice,

thats quite a good milage aswel for a 16 year old car

I haven't driven it much in the past few years. I only did 3,000 miles last year.

But as old car goes, things need replacing. Done the springs, will need battery and also the brake lines.
