Sim racers - what are you running?

I upgraded the shifter on my Fanatec McLaren V2 wheel. Dropping the single paddle for individual magnetic shifter paddles - It's so much better to use now - shifting is quicker, lighter and less clunky.
I also ordered the extended paddles and removed the analogue clutch paddles, as I never used them.

It's fairly easy to change them : just follow this video guide

Upgraded to a 5070ti from a 4070.

Also, put some die springs on my simjacks. What a difference to elastomers!

The paddles look awesome, bet they feel a lot more satisfying too

Daughters fanatic F1 wheel isn't recognising half the buttons on one side of the wheel, she's tried pulling plug for 60sec, checked all the connections, reseated the wheel and still no luck any ideas.

That looks good! I'm tempted. The only upside of the original shifter is that I can shift up or down one-handed if having a drink down a straight  I have the Simube QR2 and the quality of that is superb.

Noticing that I'm improving in Assetto Corsa Competizione, finding it a very rewarding game. I went back to Forza Motorsport briefly this evening and its just not the same now that I've been playing a proper sim.

I fancy trying Asseto Corsa games in VR as it's a series I've never played before. Which version (Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Evo or Assetto Corsa Competiozone?) would you recommend for someone starting out playing it in VR?

ACC hasn't really had any updates in a while, it's a pretty old game now too. AC looks really good still, with the right mods.

Hi Guys.
I bought T 598 with RACELINE PEDALS LTE.
I'd like to mod the pedals.
What would be better?
I found this on aliexpress:
Second option:

Brake Pedal MOD [Thrustmaster Raceline Pedals LTE / III, T598]

@MassiveJim I wonder if there is a waye to 'measure' FFB output to test it yourself?
it has even worse problems than first thought.
I race with a headset on most of the time so I hadn't noticed the wheelbase is now making weird noises.
a fairly loud whining noise when turning, and rattling.

FFB also feels slightly stronger in 1 direction.

something seriously wrong, I would take the original problem I had over this.

@MassiveJim

Well that sucks.

I suppose you'll have to send it back again? Baffles me how that can happen.

I had a friend waiting several weeks for an Asetek RMA. What was the turnaround like for you initially?

turnaround was very fast.
but slightly odd

I bought from Raceanywhere, they asked me to send it back, I asked if they would provide a label, they asked me when I would like collection,
UPS collected last Monday, they contacted me on Wednesday to say it had been received.
then on Thursday I got this email

Hope you are doing well,

I've replaced the motherboard and tested the wheelbase which works fine on my rig.

I've sent you the wheelbase today and it should be with you in a couple of days.
Let me know if there are any further issues upon arrival.

I did question that it seemed odd that they repaired it themselves, and got this response.
Thanks for reaching out.

We are the main supplier of Simagic in the UK and the approved place for all Simagic repairs in the UK.

I understand your concern about the sporadic nature of the fault. I've reached out to Simagic and they confirmed that a motherboard replacement needs to be done. I performed a thorough test after replacing the motherboard, and it's working correctly on our rig. We're confident this has resolved the issue.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

I received the base back on Friday,

i've raised the new issue with them and they have responded to emails very quickly, currently they are waiting on advice from simagic I believe
