Another new banger of a game coming from Microprose in 2026 that i cannot wait to play. Well overdue since Gunship 2000 on the PC and Amiga from 1990/91.
Cant wait!!

Oh man. Me and my Dad played the hell out of Gunship 2000 on Amiga 1200 back in the 90s. To think I was just about to sell my HOTAS.

:edit: Lawdy the graphics. Now I like a retro game as much as the next person but it does feel like this is a bit of a weird decision. I will happily be proved wrong. I was watching the trailer with zero volume and I am particularly vulnerable to good audio/music, so maybe it's just that.

Be great if it has Track IR support as well or VR support.

Gunship 2000 was the sim that made me go and buy an analogue joystick for my Amiga, very fond memories of it and this will likely be a purchase simply because lol.

Reminds me of Thunderhawk on the Amgia.
"Things are getting desperate”

“Yes, Mr. President."

"Is the equipment ready?"

"Final preparations are in progress, sir."

"Is the team assembled?"

"Yes, sir. Jack Marshall is the chief tactician."

"...and the pilot?"

"One of our finest, sir."

"Good. You got twenty-four hours."

Ahhh great times

Will it draw me away from the Apache and Kiowa in DCS, though.....?
yeah i think gunship will be a good mix leaning towards sim but not as simmy as dcs but not as arcadey as other titles. This will be a day 1 buy for me cause of the Amiga days and it’s microprose. I do have the apache on dcs as well

I was just reading the microprose Spearhead 2 thread and I thought I wish they would make another Gunship game. I must have played 100's of hours on my A1200 playing Gunship, flying a few feet off the ground (I think the term is nap of the earth) following rivers to avoid being spotted while playing a Prodigy album in the background on repeat!

What ever happened to the Jane's PC games that came after? I remember playing one of them many years ago and they used to be a new one every year or so, much more sim like.

I don't usually buy games day 1, but this might be an exception!
