Tabletop Warhammer?

Going to the Bristol Super Major this weekend. Just checked the lists.

81 defilers. Eighty frikkin one.

Updated my scraping script also so I can track things in realtime as the rounds go through to see what is playing strongly and what is not.

I believe from what I read they are pretty strong, some say that new models always have strong rules to sell them and then they nerf them later.
I want one because it looks cool and I think I’m on my way to a daemon engine list.
Let us know how it goes please.

Yes but then how will Games workshop sell them for the next 6 months if it gets compleatly nerfed???

Think of the chief execs pay!!

Playing my new custodes on Thursday for first time, and also first 30K game in like 8months should be pretty fun aside from it being hot as hell

I used to have loads of Warhammer 40K as a teenager. Browsing through this thread sure has given me fomo to get back into somehow.... I imagine it costs a fortune these days though? Lol.

If I was to get back into it... IF... which would be the most forgiving race in terms of painting? I did actually buy some WW2 planes and stuff a few years ago which I really enjoyed building and painting, so I'm thinking I could just do that side of things to begin with.

Proberly anything low model count rather then your horde armys.

Necrons, spray silver, wash with nuln oil, drybrush with some canoptek alloy, add some green bits on the weapons. Job done

This weekends tournament was exactly as expected, defilers everywhere.

First 3 games were great, lost 1 won 2. Great oppenents, a good laugh.

4th game however, against the most salty player ive ever been matched against, he basically accused me of cheating when he flopped his go turn into my ctan. Low and behold a few minutes later I get "randomly" dice checked by the marshals. Basically conceeded at that point as I couldnt be bothered to play against someone like that. Though in hindsight I should have contiued to smash him and make his day truely miserable.

5th game, was absolutely hillarious. It was one of those, where every roll was insane, in the good or the bad, there was no "average" for either player and after explaining my 4th game to him everytime a marshal walked past we were both screaming and pointing at each others dice for checks (obviously joking about it).

Finished 3-2, could have easily been a 4-1 weekend.

Salty as he messed up which "special dice" he ment to use.

Makes sense.

I used to have a Tyranid army and I hated painting it. This was before the internet is what it is today so learning how to actually paint stuff wasn't the same.

Thanks!
