I dare say the controversial take at this point is to say you like it![]()
Holy windscreen wiper placement.
Ugly car but people buy the Urus, which is an overpriced, glorified Audi. No issue with them taking rich peoples money though.
It definitely lacks Ferrari DNA. Like you said, the Lambo still has elements that are clearly Lambo whereas the Ferrari could pass for a Hyundai concept car.Yes but as I mentioned before, at least that looks like a Lambo, and is sort of a poster SUV. Shown that car without any badges, and it would be reasonable guess that it's the new Lambo SUV.
Shown the Luce without any badges or context, no-one on earth would guess that's the new Ferrari EV.
The Luce isn't for supercar buyers. It's for EV buyers that want a Ferarri badge. The fact it goes like a rocket is really just EV tech being objectively better than ICE in pure performance terms.Makes you think what's going to happen to all the supercar manufacturers in the future. EVs seem to level the playing field a lot more than ICE cars, and people of course gravitate to wanting a V10 Lambo, or V12 Ferrari.
Are they going to have a line up of EVs? How would you differentiate them as much as ICE cars?

People that want supercars will still buy supercars.
It will take a generational or legislative change for ICE cars to go out of fashion, especially on the high-end.If they can buy them. But are they going to be made in another 50+ years time?
I'd be curious how fast this would be around a track compared to a Urus/Cayenne (to your performance reference).
Or buy a model S plaid for 1/5th the price and it's faster all round. The Luce isn't for supercar buyers. It's for EV buyers that want a Ferarri badge. The fact it goes like a rocket is really just EV tech being objectively better than ICE in pure performance terms.

Well that's the point, people aren't buying a Luce because it's fast, they're buying it because it's got a prancing horse on the front.Or buy a model S plaid for 1/5th the price and it's faster all round.
One born every minute ehWell that's the point, people aren't buying a Luce because it's fast, they're buying it because it's got a prancing horse on the front.

You're spot on, look at rimac nevera, or the pininfarina batista/b95.I am not suggesting there are not some "interesting" design choices from the likes of Jaguar and Ferrari etc.
I am just saying it is a weak argument suggesting that it is because you can't make sexy low slung EV hyper cars.
just look at the Yang Wang U9.
if they can make that look like that then I refuse to believe that with a bit of Pininfarina type magic that Ferrari could not come up with a traditional Ferrari looking cars.
whether you like the Luce or not is irrelevant. my point is, it's not "ugly" because it's an EV.
pininfarina batista/b95
this is how I feel. It’s a shame what every brand becomes. If it had a BYD badge on it, and a BYD price tag, it’d be alright. It’s meant to be a Ferrari though… Hardly one kids would hang on the bedroom wall.
