Flicking through the IMDB reading loads of useless trivia I can across this little fact:
Joss Whedon is known to plan his season storylines years in advance. Clues to Dawn's arrival can be found as early as the third season, but she doesn't actually show up until the fifth.
And have since then been trying to find out what these clues were.

Bar sitting down and watching the whole season again, can anyone help me? I've done web searches for nitpickers guides and such like, but haven't had any luck

I know this is a daft thing to be asking but its starting to bug me :o

The bit they are talking about in season three is at the end when faith is in a coma and buffy is in a dream state. Faith tells Buffy she can't stay there as she has to be "Back before dawn," and references to the Little Sister pop up several times :)

The episodes in question are graduation day I and II

:)

Also in the season 4 finale (Restless) Tera says to Buffy "Make sure your back before Dawn".

Watched all of Buffy and Angel back to back just before Xmas - was fantastic!

Last ep of Buffy... whoa just WHOA!... Last season of Angel was more ... bleh... but over all Angel > Buffy.

Absolutely, Angel is by far the stronger of the two shows, shame it got canned :\ Gotta love it when a likeable character gets his throat slit, survives and proceeds to go nuts and lock a woman in his closet for weeks and weeks :D

and I quote 'I'll take away your bucket ...' :D

we are actually watching BTVS start to end at the moment after watching Angel back to back last year (finished the last one on 23rd Dec)

Personally thought the fourth series of Angel was the slackest... Five starts very badly (gearing up for something much bigger. then tightens up very quickly, making you almost hate the lead character which is awesome) shame it got cut short :(

Excellent episode! :)

If only for the Demon when he changes the colour of his suit, so goddamn slick ;)

personally my favorite episode of either of them is 'Smile time' :D Angel as a muppet was amazing

Can't remember whether Amber is the actress or character right now (Willow's gf) but hasn't she got a beautiful voice?

Actor isn't it? Tara was the characters name iirc

...Amber Bensen / son?

Yeah a few of them really could sing, Sarah michelle gellar OTOH cannot! god her songs grated something chronic.

Season 2/3 of Buffy is the strongest of all seasons, better than a lot of shows of its time. It was funny, exciting, tense, humorous, gripping. Girls and vampires with some fist and kicking thown in, was a gem of a show. Angel took a little to get going, first season was still looking for its own style, it wasn't until Fred joined it found it's feet. It ended not how i thought it would however, always thought they would play it out for the prophecy to come true, him becomes human again and be with Buffy.

Yup, your right on both counts :).

SMG on karaoke could empty a pub quicker than a bomb scare IMO! :D

Hey you season 4 of Angel was the best season in the Buffyverse!

Buffy season 7 was by far the worst, when really it should have been the best!

I believe in that same dream state Faith leaves buffy with a riddle:

Miles to go. Little Miss Muffet counting down from 7-3-0

730 days is 2 years

2 years is the end of season 5

2 years till Buffy dies...
