"Jockies! something must have spooked em"

The best sketch I saw was when they banned monkey spanking in the office.

Curb Your Enthusiasm

stars the producer of Seinfeld, which is also really good.
most of it is improv - extremely funny and also very tragic.
excellent comedy

If you liked Boosh then I reccomend Snuff Box, it's in a somewhat similar style but much better, and it's made for tv rather than being a tv version of stage or radio comedy shows, which means it doesn't have a lot of the awkwardness that many sketch shows suffer from. God knows where you're going ot get it from though, it was only aired on bbc4 and there isn't a dvd of it yet.

I second Curb Your Enthusiasm, it's the best thing I saw in years. It's hard to describe why it's so good, except that it's fantastically well-written and brilliantly acted. There's some clips of it online, but they don't convey its genius, you need to watch entire episodes to appreciate the smart writing and hillarious plot twists. There's a clip of him doing some stand-up though that shows what his sense of humour's like:

Was just about to post recommending Green Wing.

Shame there is only one episode (Christmas special) and then it's finished for good :(

I think it's a good move. Every comedy with Mark Heap in has only gone for one or two seasons and all are pure gold.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Seinfeld, a sheer classic.

Not many people in the UK like it, its superior to Friends in every way though. I love it. :)

the adam and joe show, everything else i would recommend has already been mentioned - the boondocks maybe? It's an animation but it's still pretty funny.
