I've just finished '1984'. Overall opinion of it, hmm. Well it started out okay but it droned on a bit during the middle. A good ending/conclusion though.

Also about to start reading 'Look Back In Anger'. Admittedly it's a play and it's a part of my course. :o

THE CHURCH BELLS

THE BABY AND ITS LOSS

oh god AS level english was awful I hated Look Back in Anger so much

Mmm. We watched the play on DVD and it really was awful. I hate all the characters. I hate the format. I hate everything about it. :(

Superb book. An informative book that is actually fun to read. So good infact that a couple of my lecturers reccommend it as reading material for my course. :p

Just finished reading Jeremy Clarksons "And Another Thing vol. 2" and am now just starting "Vulcan 607".

How weird, i have that JC book ready and waiting for when I finish this one :D

Just finished The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I thought it was rather overrated to be honest. Good, but nowhere near as "life changing" as it was generally made out to be. Just started on The Colour of Magic Discworld novel by Pratchett. I've also read Going Postal by him. I liked it, but had difficulty picturing what he had written, as is the case with this one. Does Discworld get better? I'm finding it difficult to stick at at the moment. Does he go into better description about what the world looks like at any point?

Supposed to be a horror writer. :(
I got this bought for me at Christmas, is it part of a series or is ok to go straight ahead and read it?

Currently just started Labyrinth - Kate Mosse, don't think i'm going to enjoy it though. Not gripping me at all yet.

I'm reading Bill Bryson as well - 'Notes from a Small Island'.

That really is a good book, made me laugh out loud many times. Have you read 'Notes From A Big Country'? It's pretty much the same kind of read, and just as hilarious.

That's next on my list, after my sister's finished reading it.

After that I'm reading The Code Book by Simon Singh. I really enjoyed his book on Fermat's Last Theorem, and found it quite inspiring.

Is that about two conmen and a whore that team up to fool several different types of people from one house? If so, then I've seen a National Theatre play based on it, which was absolutely fantastic and which I fully recommend!

'To War in a Stringbag' by Charles Lamb. The story of the great Fairey Swordfish, the men who flew her and the heroic deeds those guy's pulled off during WWII.

Just finished "PREY" by michael crichton, was ok, nothing special.

Now reading a book I got from a charity shop because the cover attracted me! lol

Turns out its actually pretty good.

"The Lost Army of Cambyses" by Paul Sussman.

Really good escapist adventure yarn set in Egypt. Can't go wrong. :)

Afraid not. Must be thinking of another book.

Just finished reading Jeremy Clarkson's 'World According to...'

I don't agree with everything he says but that doesn't mean I don't find it funny :)
