What was your 1st PC game?

Got some demos and full throttle when i first got my pc. First game I played I think was Duke nukem 3d demo, followed by terminal velocity and hi-octane then full throttle.

Machine was P133, 16mb, 1mb onboard graphics, 1.2gb hdd. cost £1000 in Jan 07 (1996 Xmas present)

amiga 500 first game i think was double dragon or project one

Papyrus Indy cars, only had the one track and 3 cars but i spent hours and hours on it. The computer players were insanely good.

Hi-Octane was great, cracking game.

you can run it through dos-box but it was never as good as on an older machine.

Sliightly off topics, but if you install windows 98 or 95 on a partition can you play all older games, even with a fast machine? I want to play blood, hi-octane etc with proper sound and speed

Redline Racer on a Tiny PII266MMX, 64MB RAM and 4MB ATi Rage IIc. :)

I would love them to redo Hi-Octane, with no changes other than graphics updates.

The gameplay was superb :D

Mine was Network Q RAC Rally, came with my Time Cyrix 300, 64mb Ram, 6gb hdd with 4mb onboard graphics. My first upgrade was a Voodoo 2 12mb accelerator card, which came in handy as the onboard graphics were useless.

racing game called screamer :D
Then Street fighter2, i had no idea how to find out what spec my pc was back then :d
Duke3d:atomic edition is what really kicked it off though, then age of empires :)
Well, age of empires after id saved up for a new graphics card, only to find out the soundcard was also under minimum spec :p haa

Wolfenstein 3D on my 386 sx with 2 MB ram. I found the shareware version on my bosses PC at work :D

All my Amiga mates were very jealous at the 360 degree turn, rather than the old 4 point turning system.
I then paid over £100 for a 2MB upgrade to play DOOM, and they were even more jealous and all bought PCs shortly afterwards.

Those were the days...

hehe mine was a flightsim but cant remember what it was.. anyway the lad i purchased the system off said if i replace the ISA gtx card with a VesaLocal Bus card the game would rip and it did and i wet myself :D
