lost my licence

Insurance wont be that bad, its not a Ban or anything as such, your license is revoked and when you regain a full license you will just have to declare your two offences which make up your 6 points.

im a good driver tbh
Tbh, I'm not a good driver.
Yet, I'm a professional driver and I drive huge vehicles that require incredible precision and a good deal of skill from time to time......

I know some good drivers but would'nt be so bold as to put myself up with them.

Most people think he /she's a good driver, just as most people think they look great when out on the town on a Saturday night.....

that's what I was thinking

sorry to hear that though. did you not see the no sign or did you just drive through it?

i didnt see one when i was last in bristol on an evening. took a turn off from the centre, heading down to the police station, completely oblivious to the buses only / no entry sign!
had a copper behind me, who pulled me over!

never used to be buses only :D

At least you know not to be lazy in the future.

I had one of the closest calls EVER. It was about 10pm 4 months ago and it was dark. Street lights were on and I drove over a footpath in order to cross over the road I had to go around 3 roads to get back onto that road. The gap was a bicycle gap and my car just fitted through. 2 Police officers stood next to my car I said to my mate "Crap, I'm pulling over, I've had it.". The coppers waited for me to pull out and I was confused so I carried on driving at about 5mph, they were to busy chatting and they didn't say anything

Me & my friend were just literally gob smacked. Ever since, I've never made a stupid move due to laziness. It's just not worth my licence :)

I still can't get over it :o

Smarty pants! :p

To be honest, if he was done for speeding before, and now for ignoring signs, it's a damn good thing he's lost his license.

I know that's harsh, but you obviously need to relearn it all, and have some time to think about it, you were speeding before and you got done for it, and now you've ignored another thing you were supposed to have learnt.

Maybe this'll make you a better driver.

Considering your 19, driving a 1.8, have 3 points for speeding and your insurance is only 1,100 - I doubt it will rise a great deal. Keep us updated.

So you've never sped before? Maybe he was just unlucky. I know a lot of people who speed, only takes a sneaky patrol car and a speed trap and thats it... 3 points. If any of you tell me you've never sped before I'd probably tell you that you were lying. As for the no entry sign, if it's somewhere quiet and you can visibly see its safe, it doesn't warrant 3 points and a loss of a license tbh, should only be a warning. Fair enough though if it was in a busy area / blind corner / you were going some speed.

It was such a relief when my 2 years passed, I think that's what helped me avoid momentary lapses in common sense during that time, that I escaped with a clean license. Now I'm free to drive like everyone else ;)

Hopefully you'll do better next time around!

If he lost his licence for two speeding offences it wouldnt be so bad, but to go through a no entry sign is just silly.

Don't worry about it mate. You'll probably have to do an extended retest - but that's that and then you'll be back on the road with perhaps only slightly higher insurance.
