This is probably the most pointless thread ever (if it even turns into one), but why is it journalist's articles are littered with photos of sports people who look, well, like they've just suffered some anally related shock?

I've noticed that when I pick up the newspaper it'll have a piece about "last night's match" and out of all the photos that must have been taken they choose to put a half page photo of a player with the most comical and ridiculous facial expression ever!

Or poor Ryan Garry who's only image on BBC online will unfortunetely be this one.
