Swiftech H20-120 Compact

Thanks Mike.

Is it possible/likely that by moving the radiator effectively a further 25mm into the case that it could foul the pump arrangement on the CPU.

I assume not since it would appear you would normally have to mount a fan on the radiator anyway.
By leaving the existing case fan in-situ and intact you could if need be simply pull air through the radiator.

Sorry for one further question.
My case fan is a rib type and not the more common flange type.
I assume that to simplify fixing, the case fan would need to be a flange type.

The rib type has a 'tunnel' connecting the mounting holes.

well i was going to make a trip to ocuk today, buy one of these, but ill hold off untill some real world reviews come to light, not some bias review.

Surely someone must have taken the plunge on this by now :p

I'll probably be buying the the case/accessories and water cooling for my new build around Sept 1st - so if i'll post my findings if nobody else has by then.

would be nice thanks, and also would be nice if others would report back on how this cooler performs :/

no problem, but I agree... surely someone must have bought it by now and it would be great if they would post a mini review on it :)

As someone who buys a humungous amount of gear every year, and loses a packet on all of it, I take great exception to your expectation that someone else has to be the guinea-pig. Buy one yourself and tell us all about it.

And who is Jack Borris anyway?

Isn't that a pun?

As usual, Wikipedia has something;

"A Freudian slip, or parapraxis, is an error in speech, memory or physical action that is believed to be caused by the unconscious mind.

Some errors, such as a man accidentally calling his wife by the name of another woman, seem to represent relatively clear cases of Freudian slips. In other cases, the error might appear to be trivial or bizarre, but may show some deeper meaning on analysis. As a common joke goes, it can be like "saying one thing, but meaning your mother". A Freudian slip is not limited to a slip of the tongue, or to sexual desires. It can extend to our word perception where we might read a word incorrectly because of our fixations. It is important to note that these slips are semi-conscious. This is to say that these thoughts are consciously repressed and then unconsciously released. This is unlike true Freudian repression which is the unconscious act of making something unconscious.
"

So, I would say, yes, it may well have been a Freudian slip where his unconcious is telling him it's not likely to be as good the reviews say, but he's going to buy one anyway.

Yes brilliant... fantastic idea... and if you'd read my other posts you would have seen that I am buying one in September with the the first part of my new build - and I have already said I will post back with my findings

I'm not expecting anyone to be a guinea-pig - I'm just shocked that with the amount of interest this has generated nobody has bought one yet, or at least posted back with what its like.;)

Well, my chosen supplier won't have them for delivery until Wednesday and that means I should get it Thursday or Friday. I think a lot of people don't believe the reviews and are waiting for someone else to point out that it's not that great actually, at which point we'll all go back to recommending D-Tek/Thermochill/Laing/Masterkleer.

The other possibility is what happened with the Abit 680i motherboard - about 20 people had them on pre-order and then there was no news for about a week, at which point people started surfacing saying they'd sold the boards on as they weren't any good. If there is a spate of these on the 'bay you'll know what's going on;)
