Pro Evolution Soccer 2008: 360 or PS3

:confused:But there hasn't been a version of PES on the PS3, so how would you know that it is likely to be lag free?

I am probably coming accross as a fan boy a bit but I have never suffered any serious lag on the 360, far less than I did on the PC version as well.

But they've always had it for the PS2 which has always had a reputation for being the best version of the console bunch. It seems the PS is concentrated on a lot more than the 360, going from PES6 anyway.

Using the PSN I've always had lag free gaming I don't see why PES should change this.

Having played over 700 games on live I can comment on the majority of the games being OK connection wise but then there are some that awful. If I can get every game to be lag free then I'd take it. I also prefer the PS pad for football games.

We'll see anyway, owning both consoles means I can choose whichever, and I will wait for the best reviews.

Should be obvious.

As others said you cant form a judgement on lag when the PS3 hasn't had a PES game yet. The 360 might well have been overhauled in those terms as well. You wont know till they come out, and just because the PS2 had PES games doesn't mean anything.

(although of course, you could be right - but you simply don't know yet)

I'm commenting purely on my experience with other games on the PS3 Network that this shouldn't be any different.

It's like the rumours with the PS3 being superior to the 360 version, no one knows the real facts and can only speculate. which is what I'm doing.

We will see come October.

It won best PS3 game at Leipzig Games Convention, now i'm not sure what (if any) differences it has from the 360 version, but when you look at the PS3 lineup, I think it did pretty damn well.

Might be worth checking to see if it offers anything on one format than the other.

You say this, but it really doesn't have much competition at the moment.

PES always drops in price just after release, the last few launches have seen PES and Fifa for round £24.99 not long after release.

Ive grown very attached to the 360 pad and i think its far superior to the ps pad now im used to it, i dont get thumb ache either like i used to with the ps pad. They really should've got some balls and advanced the ps pad (despite pressure saying otherwise) because it has fallen behind.

Add to that xbox live and as long as the game is the same ill be buying it for the 360.

I'm sure I've read that the PS3 was the lead development platform for the game so I'm sure it will be the better version. If it uses 20Gb on a disc then the 360 version will have to suffer somewhere in the conversion process, and I highly doubt it's all uncompressed audio

It's rumours mate, was posted a while ago.

Yes a good point I got the last one for that price about a day after release. I wont pre-order it thats for sure. Bioshock was available in the highstreet on launch day for £29.99. I no longer think its worth pre-ordering anything really.

Yeah I'll buy it from a supermarket for £37.97 then get 10% discount too.
