Airsoft - Visiting 'Wolf Armouries' tomorrow!

handguns are Section 5
semi-auto rifles in calibres larger than .22LR are Section 5
Bolt action rifles in any calibre are Section 3, as are shotguns

so, you can't have a dragunov because they're Sec5 :(

Can you own a Lee Enfield rifle legally in the UK?

You can here once you get a licence ;) Me and some friends inquired about the licence here and it's quite easy to get.

sure, a real dragunov would be cheaper, but you can't shoot your friends with one.

well, not more than once anyway :p

:) thanks, has gun crime been increasing in the UK in recent years and since 1997? I get the impression from all the shootings of teenagers that I read about in the news that it is.

to legally hold a S3 firearm in the UK you need to apply for a Section3 FAC (FireArmsCertificate). every specific firearm you wish to own must be applied for separately and specifically. if approved, they will be added to your FAC.

you'll need a reason to have a firearm, like if you target-shoot or something like that.

for more detailed information, the best people to speak to would be your local police station, your application will have to go through there anyway.

The old mans' getting quite a collection of S3 toys at the moment - Lee Enfield No4, Mosin Nagant M91/30, and a Kar98K. Further items may be on the cards as well....

Hoping for a day down Bisley sometime when it warms up, just to rattle through some ammo for the pure enjoyment of it!

nice!

I have been there a couple of times, the backroom is just awesome - so many weapons all hanging off walls / stacked up in piles its a dream to walk around :D

I have only purchased a Baretta from them though and am actually now low on gas so will have to buy some more sometime - if I continue to use it that is!

I have since purchased an Air Rifle too so the 'bb' gun has been gathering dust ;)

dont need a license here. my mate has a couple of pistols, the best being the H&K MK23 Socom with added suppressor and tactical light. its awesome! and bigger than i thought it would be. lol. £139.99 on wolf amouries for the marui version. pretty powerfull too. bit big for a backup weapon IMO specially if you have the suppressor attached.. hmm i might buy one and get it shipped.

To be honest, I was never a 'gun nut' but once I went to the range here I lobed it. Once I've been I can't wait for the next time, we usually go through a 100 rounds each time. Only pistols so far although I have had a go on a 9mm chambered AR-15. I seem to have a natural talent for pistol shooting at least which maybe makes it more fun for me.

In the summer I'd like to go to an outdoor one to use some rifles, see if I can translate the skill to that :)

Its a shame its a fixed pistol. The effect of firing a blowback pistol is just so fun, not quite as practicle as it will use a little more gas, but thats worth it for the blowback effect.
