*OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz @ 4.00GHz + Free Game

Hi - with this being the last PC I buy for ages I was wondering if (for what ever reason) I needed to upgrade the memory would it require a bios setting change or just bang it in and off you go type sketch?

Hi, this sound a great bargain deal, but where can I save all the o/c profiles to ? Can I save it to flash memory just in case if the gigabyte motherboard reset the bios and all the o/c profiles will be gone !.........

Yes you can save bios profiles. Such function is available under main bios menu as: F11 - Save CMOS to BIOS & F12 - Load CMOS from BIOS. This function allows you to save the current BIOS settings to a profile and later load it. You can create up to 8 profiles and even name each of them :D. Such profiles can be saved into bios, USB pendrive, HDD or even outdated FDD ;).

I have been looking at OCUK's bundles and they are very tempting, but I have one problem with them. I run a watercooled setup and want to upgrade, thus I don't need the Heatsink and fan. Is it possible to alter these bundles? As I would love to add a Graphics card instead of the Heatsink and fan.

Depends on the memory entirely, more than likely you would have to do some tweaking to maintain the clock.

Phone up the sales team and we can install a waterblock / not ship with a cooler no problem at all. You will still be charged a little for AS5 as we need to use some compound to test the bundle before shipping but it is only a quid or so. :p

Awesome thanks for that Yewen :) It does say all items are built and installed in your description but I am assuming all the parts come separate? And I need some more AS5 so thats not a prob and I can install the blocks myself thats not a problem, I just didn't want to pay for the heatsink is all.

Hi all,

This is my first post on the OCUK forum. I am sooooo tempted by this bundle.

My current spec: E6600 @ 3.0GHz, 2 GB Corsair XMS2, Asus P5W DH, Asus ATI X1950 Pro 256MB.

The trouble is that I have to get the Mrs to say yes to it! I'd add an Asus ATI HD4890 and a OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w PSU. I would use the rest of my existing kit.

I have a question or two about this bundle. What processor do you use in this bundle? The i7 that retails at £204.99 or the i7 that retails at £209.99? What's the difference between the two?

Whilst I'm no stranger to OC'ing, I'm also far from being an expert. But the challenge of OC'ing myself to 4.0GHz seems kind of appealing! But I also keep telling myself it worth paying the extra few quid to have it guaranteed at 4.0GHz.

I would also like to keep/use my X1950 pro in the 2nd PCI-E slot to allow me the use of a third monitor. Can I do that? (I know I can't X-fire these two cards) Would it be worth plugging my 2nd and 3rd monitor into the X1950 Pro and save the 4890 for my primary gaming monitor?

Thanks in advance.

We ship the bundle with the CPU and RAM installed, the cooler is in normal circumstances shipped in its retail packaging.

We use the retail processors on this bundle. (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-280-IN)

We do provide a warranty and the support for the bundle which is its main draw, up to you if you want to try it yourself but then you are voiding warranty on components.

There is a good reason why this bundle is so possible.:p
