Vista x86 home premium hash

Does anyone have a bog standard vista home premium dvd lying around? My nan's laptop needs a reinstall and she doesn't know where the dvd that came with the laptop is, so I said I'd use my own. 'Found' one overnight, but checked the sha1 of the iso, went online to look for confirmation of it and couldn't find anything at all for the iso in question. The only ones mentioned are for all-in-one isos that contain all the versions of vista on one DVD, and I've not been able to find one of these to get hold of.

So, if anyone has a home premium dvd lying around, could you get either the md5 of sha1 hash of it so I know if this ISO is safe to use? Thanks!

By the way - all editions are contained on the same DVD. Which version installs depends on the licence key you enter iirc.

Sometimes a small file on the DVD dictates what you can install, regardless of what key you use. The ei.cfg file I think it is.

Yeah that's true Sirius. I remember removing said file to make an 'all in one' disk a while back.

Bah, mine says its only Home Premium, and the hash doesn't match that D: I don't really want to use a possibly altered windows install on her laptop, she wouldn't have a clue what to do if anything goes wrong.

you guys are thinking of windows 7. vista had no such file.

with vista you either...

a) enter your product key and that dictates which version gets installed
b) leave it blank and then you get to choose which version to install. you then get 30 days grace to enter your product key (which of course has to match the version you chose to install.

)

and you want to be looking for one with sp2 integrated.
