I play BF3 & Left 4 Dead 2 for online kicks.

Single player I've been enjoying Legend of Grimrock, and getting great value out of purchasing Saints Row the Third. Easily up there with GTA Vice City and San Andreas for sand box fun. Pro Evo is my footie game of choice.

I'm amazed at the lack of BF3 players. What is it about BF3 that you all don't like?

I checked out Metro 2033, getting that! And Dead Space 1 & 2. And STALKER.

How did you get VBS 2?

Here its free..

Then just look around for addons, there are a few, but not many.

Edit: it’s the lite version but it’s the best you’ll get, unless you have a company that specialises in security.
Then you can get a quote for the full version, which is an old simulator, but still quite expensive as its the best..

Apart from Battlefield 3, you play...

....not BF3 - After playing RO2 again I wish I could sell it :(

Red Orchestra 2
Shift 2 Unleashed
Mafia II
Operation Raccoon City

Will be playing:
Skyrim
Arkham City
New Tomb Raider
Resident Evil 6

May reinstall:
Company of Heroes
Assassins Creed 2
Assassins Creed: Brotherhood

From what I've seen, Skyrim is about 45 years worth of gameplay right there.

If I enjoy arma 2 will I like VBS 2?

Is it a "game" like arma 2 or is it just for military training?

Thanks.

It’s a simulator, but it can be used as a game. I used to use the editor most of the time to make missions for a group of friends that are mil sim mad..
But when A2 came along, it was near enough to the vbs editor as you could get, infact they are more or less the same. We all sort of moved over to A2 because we knew the content would increase via the community, which it did, a lot..
But VBS2 is the ultimate mil sim imo, there are features in there that would be great in A2 or A3. I think you would find it interesting, other than entertaining as a game now, because A2 is so well modded..
There are very few addons, I know the OFP islands are available, plus a couple of other bits and pieces, but apart from that, unless you get the full version, then its limited.

I play BF3 a bit. never really got sucked in but I hop on it when i feel like.

Completed all recently:
- Sniper Elite V2

Used to play before SEV2:
- Call of Duty 4: Promod (with friends)

Next on the list:
- Crysis 2

Always Play:
- Football Manager 2012

I played Crysis 2 MP a bit, but I will be going over the SP, as I never really played it. Apart from that, I play a few games just to complete the achievements :D

It's only accessible to people in government/security, hence why I asked how you got it.

You have to apply to get access to it, and even when you do get it, you can only execute the sim using a special USB key.

It's a version of OFP then ArmA2 developed purely as a military training tool for security companies and armed forces (The U.S Marine Corps and Australian Defense Forces use it, for example).

I don't play BF3, no-one does. :)
...

wow really so all that time queueing to get on a server most nights is just my imagination :D Find the right server and BF3 is still good fun, find the wrong server (of which there are many) and it sucks balls.

Aside from BF3 I enjoy Skyrim, it goes nicely alongside as its a complete change of game and pace.
