A cheap dumb/feature phone with great texting?

I'm looking for a cheapy mobile and I'd like it to be far from a smartphone to keep away distractions and value.
The big problem I find with things like whatever-the-current-sub-£15-Nokia-is-called is that texting is sluggish and has no threaded conversations.

Are there any phones that make texting super-easy while lacking internet features and the like?

The Nokia Asha is mentioned around review sites to be a good for what you're asking for.

Thanks Izi, I didn't realise the 3310 had threaded SMS! No chance you know if that feature works well? It's kinda a deal-breaker and I can't find too much info on it

Thanks for the suggestion Mr Jones, the Asha looks great but seems to push connectivity and social networking too much

With threaded messaging, you can change the shortcuts to leaveout all the social networking / connectivity. Not a lot of photos with hardware buttons these days, much less with threading and keypad.

Not sure about threading messaging though... they all connect via WAP, still too much distraction?
