Hi all

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good quality TV stand suitable for mounting a Samsung UE65F8000 on? Key requirements below

1) Must have an integrated "cantilever" type mount for the TV
2) Must be as wide or wider than the TV (1450mm)
3) The area below the TV to be split into 2 shelves, one shelf for centre speaker, bottom shelf for A/V equipment.

Struggling to find something that fits the bill at the moment.

Thank you for your help

A wall sounds perfect for all 3......:p

Or you could take a look at these google search pictures and see if there any stands you like

That looks far too high for a TV in what I'm assuming is a living room. Is there a reason why a normal TV bench with the TV plonked on top isn't an option?

Thank you for all your replies.

I'm looking to site the TV in the middle of the front window area so wall mounting is not feasible.

I've considered the TV "bench" / cabinet options but discounted them as I feel the TV would be more secure mounted on a cantilever plus having the ability to rotate slightly for when visitors are round.

After much research I've noticed Sonorous seemingly offer a bespoke service. I've sent an initial email to them to see if they could modify a model LB1620 to accommodate a cantilever mount and make it bigger all round (height and depth)

Will update on the outcome.

If you're serious about spending that sort of money then speak to a joiner / cabinet maker. You'll be able to get something that's exactly what you want and spend around half that.

Spoke to a couple of cabinet makers and they're fine with building me a cab but neither seemed confident at integrating a cantilever bracket, glass fronted doors or providing some decent chrome / silver "feet".... In all fairness, they were more in the game of wardrobes and kitchen cabinets.

The search continues....

Why would you want to plonk a 65" TV in the middle of your window  Surely that's just going to block out all your light?

Please tell me you live in a big house with a big lounge? There's nothing worse than a massive TV dominating a tiny room......

4 bed detached, lounge is approx 4m x 6m so a fair size with a very wide window. I tended to leave my blinds shut in my previous lounge. I'd brick up the window if my girlfriend would let me, natural light is overrated!

There are French windows and a conservatory at the rear too.... Will be getting some curtains fitted for those.

Hello

So I approached a few bespoke furniture makers, cabinet makers and craftsmen. The general remit was for a cabinet of similar looks, features and dimensions of the BDI Avion Noir. I only gave them a photo and description as opposed to a make / model to avoid the ability to pre-judge a budget (I doubt they'd do reverse image search!). Quotes came back from £1600 to "in the region of £2500"!

I noted a well known high street electronics chain (shares it's name with an indian food) have the BDI Avion Noir on sale for cheaper than anywhere else, still expensive though. I purchased the stand and optional cantilever bracket for a total of £1450 inc weekend delivery. Also went through Quidco so will get some cashback taken off of that.

A lot of money but far cheaper than anywhere else I could find and it has very good reviews.
