I've got myself a Kindle and it's really nice, I don't plan on using it for too much non-fiction but I do do a lot of reading online, I wanna learn some mad stuff but it's usually fourms, guides, magazines, PDFs and wikis galore. It's a Kindle touch, I'd rather leave a normal monitor as I believe these are better for eyes? Also they use barely any power - hah.
I have a lot of computer guides I keep saved, some other books of genres too. So I've a few things I'd love to do.
Custom categories? Computers, Manuals, Hacking, Gaming, HTPC - you get the idea maybe using tagging
Wikipedia browser - like a web browser or summit but for browsing Wikis
RSS stuff?
Magazines - I have auto downloaded aload of PDFs I think I can email them automatically to *@kindle.com
Encryption? is this possible to lock out my whole drive on kindle
I also would not mind using a media collection program to get my movies and tv shows and dump them as a collection to txt on my kindle
Have a Kindle opt. Web server to display things or act as a remote on my comp soi I hit IP.IP.ip.IP:80 and I get a txt site after a UID/PW saying: Computer active, download speed 85kB/s, fan speed 1466RPM, 1 GROWL notify ERROR n00bs taking me to school and I can send remotes to it like RESTART or FAN speed high
Any way I can get some apps or something like shortcuts to different things, I am sorting ebooks atm and firing up calbre
I like fourms and guides and blogs - I wanna way to save them offline or even live to my Kindle, I love htpc stuff so I can read up one day.
