Morning all.

My trusty BenQ 24" just ain't cutting it anymore, I really fancy a 27 but a little bit concerned about 1080 being enough (rightly or not?!)

I'm not a huge perfectionist when it comes to ms response times and contrast ratios etc, I'm far too **** at gaming for it to bother me but I'd like a good crisp display.

Should I go for a 27" and keep FPS high @1080 or take the FPS drop @1440?

2500k @4.5GHz + 780 lightning all under water. I'd have thought I could run 1440 ok?

What are my options?

Thanks chaps :)

Thanks for that. Been doing a little googling, these Korean monitors... Found 27" lg panels, 1440p and overclockable for around £200.

Reviews from the like if anandtech look good too.

I would get one that has already been imported to a UK based retailer that way you get at least 1 year warranty without having to ship it so far back if something goes wrong plus no import fees.

You'll not get the best out of your 1440p with one 780, there will be a few games that you cant use ultra.

well for me on ultra in bf4 getting around 70 fps or 130 with a few settings down to high - very little difference graphically @ 1440p with 1 x 780 - you will have a good gaming experience with 1 card

My 780 handles 2560x1440 fine on practically anything and for me my min-fps I can handle is 80.

Usually just replace MSAA for FXAA and remove AO and i'll see FPS jump back up pass the 100 mark.

I've had my Yamakasi for 2 years now I think, lovely monitor wouldn't change it for the world.

Could you send me a link at all?
I've found plenty on eBay but I've no idea who I should buy off. Do I still have buyers protection when buying from abroad? Should I expect import duties?
