What is better for "gaming"- Intel HD 2000 or 6450 512mb DDR3?

I am without a graphics card for a bit and have my backup backup card or the integrated graphics. Which is better do you think. I'll be playing things like fallout 3, BioShock etc (hopefully) at 720p.

If it will have any impact, the RAM is 1333MHz stuff.

neither tbh

What a ridiculous thing to say, unless they are both going to perform exactly the same of course ;)

Thing to do is run a couple of simple benchmarks just the integrated and then pop the 6450 in a rerun.
Let us all know which is faster as it might help next time someone askes a similar question.

Although this is a battle of the weeds...

The all knowing wikipedia says...

Intel HD 2000 = 64.8 GFLOPS
AMD 6450 = 200 or 240 depending on clock speed variety

Intel doesn't have very good drivers for gaming so I would definitely go with that HD6450. Or maybe buying an used HD5750/5770 (or Nvidia equivalent) for £30-40 would sort you out even better.

I love the way you can now get a card as powerful as a 480 exactly the same size as a 6450 and require no power connectors.

Which is funny since you could cook things using a 480.

I've gone for the 6450 and I asked originally as it meant a trip to my parents house. It just looked odd not having a GPU in my case! BioShock and FO:NV are both playable at 1366*768 on very low. I even play a bit of GRID Autosport on minimum at 1080p!
