Buying dollars: uk or usa?

We're heading off to Vegas today, forgot to get dollars and not sure where to buy some. Is it best here or in murica?

I have always found Thomas Currency the best for rates vs competitors. Trade out of Canary Wharf at live market prices. You can buy at the fixed rate as advertised or watch the rate and buy in.

As your location is London: Easy access to their London Exchange outlets for collection.

Since you're going today you probably don't have much choice, but use the following to find the best rate. I'd suggest getting some now, withdraw any extra you need there, then when you get home get a proper foreign spending credit card.

Either:

Buy online from Travelex (and in your case, collect at the airport)
or
If you have a credit card with no foreign transaction charges (Halifax Clarity, Santander Zero, certain RBS, Natwest and other cards) just withdraw at an ATM when you get there.

Ramsdens seems to have the best rates for a walk-in place on the high street.

In London I would always go to Change-Link in Victoria. They have two branches near Victoria station and would always be quiet so walk-ins took no time at all.

Thomas exchange global are one of the best in London. they have one near Liverpool ST station and another not far from there I think. Pretty sure they beat or at least match anywhere else.

Cheers guys. Moneycorp at the airport had a rate of 1.32 but I booked online for next day collection amd got a rate of 1.48. Cheeky smile and a wink at the lovely lady at the counter and she was more than happy to oblige.
