Or even a DXRacer chair... I'm Looking at buying one but it's a lot to drop on a chair, does anyone have one? What are your views and thoughts? I've got an Ikea chair at the moment which seems to have broken and is giving me a bad back.

Budget about £250 maybe a little more. These are the three which have caught my eye

Do you mind if I ask how tall are you mate and if you're a big fella? I'm 6 foot 3 and wide too!
Probably better off getting a real office chair.

Obligatory Steelcase Leap mention.
Is that the make of a chair mate? I'll have a google.

Fingers crossed, I'll be having a Vertagear SL2000 arrive at my door sometime tomorrow so will be able to share how that one feels to sit in.

Cool mate thank you

Hi. I got one of these for Christmas which was both great and unexpected. I won't apologise for the bad photo because it's 11pm right now and I don't know how to drive my phone.

Anyway, here's a chair:

mutOhNx.jpg

DXRacer Iron Series OH/IF11/NW Black & White PVC Gaming/Ergonomic Chair - Sit Better. Work Harder. Game Longer - World top Brand with lifetime warranty on frame (Genuine)

Brand: DXRacer MPN: OH/IF11/NW

PROS - very comfortable, good arm rests, seat is great.

CONS - utter pain in the *whoops* to put together initially.

I normally hate the proliferation of "SPEC ME A CHAIR FOR MY FAT ASS" threads and I'm only slightly emotional to be posting in this one but for a gaming chair that feels like it doesn't want to kill you and is an adequatwe place to be, this is - or may not be - it.

Wicked mate thank you for that, that's the one I'm really learning towards.

Yep and they're really good for my back, don't buy one brand new though as they're expensive, buy a second hand one on ebay theres always loads of them on there.

Ok mate cool, I will take a look now. thank you :)

5ft11 and 16stone. The chair needs about 2 weeks worth of "bedding in" to loosen up the stiff leather but after that I was golden. Very adjustable and once you find the correct position for everything you will begrudge others sitting in the chair moving things!

I'm not sure but I believe the SL5000/6000 might be better for you as you are taller.

Are these things actually any good for anyone sat at a desk using a keyboard and mouse all day (I work from home), or is it really a gamer chair where its designed for you to be sat back more with a controller in hand?

Who games at desk with a controller? I only use mine if i'm chilling on the sofa playing GTA or something otherwise it's keyboard and mouse at desk.

I have an AK Racing chair, got it for Christmas during the Black Friday Sale and it's awesome. My previous chair was giving me back/neck troubles and this one has been loads better

I had an expensive AK Racing chair, after a few days I developed serious leg ache.

Took me a while to figure out it was the chair that was causing it. Switched back to my old chair and within a day my leg ache was getting better, waited a week for it to completely go then tried the AK again.

Tried different heights and leg positions but the ache came back so I was forced to bin it.

Vertagear SL5000 chair here, I like it and it's comfy and looks very nice too.

The plastic three piece tube part which covers the gas lift was doa and broken on mine, emailed OCuK and never got a response back.
