Using Rouiter as a NAS help please

Hey all wonder if i could ask for some help please ive currently plugged my external HDD into my router via usb so i could connect to SPMC and install my files that way via the router, Now i have connected the drive to the network location. My question is how do i view it via SPMC to install the files please lol

Lol, does your router support this? Is your drive compatible?
Depending on OS, Windows would show up in network places/location, if working.

I sometime connect a drive to the usb port of my bt home hub 3. It appears as a folder under the hub in networks. Was able to stream video from it without a problem.
On some bt hubs you need to connect to the ip address 192.168.1.254.

Should be info on the web for doing it with your router.
