Coldest I've been, certainly in the UK was -20degC back in the mid 90s. Was heading to a friends house first thing after having a shower with my hair still damp and it froze solid.

Just for you. :p

Need to go out and shovel the couple of inches that fell this morning!

My friend lives in Yellowknife and -40 is normal in winter. They have to trickle charge cars overnight.

Sure you don't mean a block heater? You plug it in when parked and it keeps the engine/battery warm.

Camped in the Himalayas for a couple of weeks when I went to do Mera Peak. It was cold every night. I think high camp was -30c which is no joke in a tent :p

-38C in Minnesota. Dec '94 - Feb '95. Sent with work and temperature just got continually colder from when we arrived. Luckily we missed loads of days of work as we were holed up in a hotel with the roads blocked and snow ploughs not moving.

I do not want to experience the temps again ... or the fact rhe was virtually no sunlight.
