I am trying to track down a more recent firmware update for my TP-Link Archer VR900, that still provides support for VDSL_MER, specifically with Sky.
The current working firmware I have is 0.9.1 1.3 v004c.0 Build 151111 Rel.31301n
Most recent V1 downloads on the UK TP-link site seem to have dropped the SKY MER option in the setup.

Any pointers would be very much appreciated.

Have you tried installing the latest 160313 firmware? It's from March 2016...

I've had it since release, as I was with Sky and the 'Sky MER' drop down on setup works perfectly.

My VR900 is on 0.9.1 1.4 v004c.0 Build 160316 Rel.44905n

Can confirm my VR900 is on this firmware and I also get the MER option.

I tried 160316 (or at least thought I did) but there was no sign of the MER option. Thanks for the info - I'll give it another go.

Sorry - I had rolled back to 151111 before posting.
Anyway, I found the problem. For some reason I had managed to fail to select the appropriate region and as such sky mer wasnt in the quick setup list of isps the first time I tried it.

I retried with 160316 last night and after spotting my mistake selected the Uk region and sky mer was now there. Spent last night online with no issues, then came down this morning to find the router disconnected.
Checking the logs shows that the router couldnt acquire an IP from DHCP.
I have rolled back again to 151111 and the router is connecting again and acquiring an address without issue.

For those using 160316 did you need to clone the wan side mac of the sky router?

I notice 160316 does not prompt for a sky username and password during setup unlike the 151111, so am wondering whether authenitcation relies on a valid mac address with the newer firmware?
