Long story short, I won a load of cash this weekend, And thought I'd treat myself to a new up to date computer. I've been meaning to build a new rig for time.

This is my old system thats gonna by wiped and OS reinstalled for my Daughter

NZXT Hush Classic Series Silent Midi-Tower Case
Intel Core i7 860 2.80Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1156)
Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply
Samsung SSD 840 pro 128GB
G.Skill Ripjaw 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Msi Geforce GT 710 Noise free fanless edition
Ive 2 Samsung 24" Monitors.

** plus 2x HP Micro servers running xpenology on my network **

I want a future proof (for time being) set up, that will be used has a work station for music production (ableton/reason), Mavic Pro 4k video editing, downloading, & browsing chaturbate lol.

Looking @ a white case, with RGB LEDS colour theme. Maybe Tempted to upgrade a bigger new 4k monitor to configure 24"/???/24". I want a M.2 card for OS/software (but not a clue what to get). I don't game so I figure going above 1060 gfx is pointless.
Ive got a B&M bargains keyboard/mouse that I'm happy with.

here is the kit I've shortlisted

Phanteks Eclipse P400S Glass Midi Tower Case - Noise Dampened White
Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz (Kaby Lake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - Retail
MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon Intel Z270 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
NZXT Kraken X62 AIO Water Cooling Unit - 280mm
MSI GeForce GTX 1060 GT OC Dual Fan 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit - White
Samsung SM961 Polaris 256GB M.2-2280 PCI-e 3.0 x 4 NVMe Solid State Drive

willing to take any advice on better components.

Spend my winnings guys..........

2K and you only have a GTX 1060 listed, thats not good use of the budget, Ryzen would be better as you get more cores.

Did you need a copy of windows? are you using an old version?

Are you reusing the psu and hdds?

2 grand is my max, money I save will be spent elsewhere

I thought 1060 would do cause I ain't gaming. Ryzen I didn't even look at, But willing to consider.

Yes I have a copy of windows.

I need a PSU, but need advice on power/spec. HDD & SSD I already have......

Ok then.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,509.07
(includes shipping: £13.20)

So I've probably selected some stuff you dont need,

The board for example supports SLI+Crossfire which I guess you will never use, but it looks great.

I would normally suggest a RX480 8GB or the refresh RX580, but there are no white ones, so GTX1060 it is.

Selected a huge m.2 drive, if you think 256GB is enough then get that one.

If you wanted white PSU cables,

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £171.04
(includes shipping: £11.10)

With a IPS monitor (good colours/contrast/blacks VS TN panel)

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,911.56
(includes shipping: £14.70)
