Used to eat cheese and jam sandwhiches all the time as a kid

Used to have them from time to time too.

When I made them for my son at nursery once, both the nursery staff and my wife thought I was insane.

It's not far removed from cheese & chutney, which is definitely legit.

Is this meant to be an "I'm so unique" thing? Eating fruit with cheese is pretty common, grapes, cheese with cranberries in. You ask a very specific question about food which has to fulfill specific criteria, do I eat cheese with jam on bread? No.

Do I eat cheese with fruit? Yes. Quite a lot of people do probably.

Friend of mine pours his cup of tea over his toast and sprinkles sugar over it.

On the oddness scale cheese and jam is pretty respectable compared to that.

Mind you, I do dip salty McDonalds fries into vanilla milkshake so that's not so different.

I can sort of follow it, as some cheese does actually have fruit in it, but as for jam and cheese on toast, it's not something I would entertain.

Jam and cheese sounds awful, I used to like Jam and chocolate spread sandwiches.

And I used to love dipping buttered toast in my morning cuppa (tea).

Not sure what is baffling about fish finger sandwiches, when I was at Uni I used to have potato waffle sandwiches which is a bit weird.
