Williams Defender was and still is my favourite 80's game.

This would be what I would buy for that room.

A bit pricey though :D

Or this Marquee,

Holy **** why are they so expensive. I actually built my own full sized arcade machine for £100 less.

A light box only needs the marquee, a wooden box... Some paint and an led strip. I could make that for less than £50.

Love the floor. I really wanted some kind of outhouse where I could have an arcade room. If you've played
Retro arcade neon on Steam... That's what I would go off

Cool carpet, do you have some machines that you are going to put in the room?

I have a shell in my garage that I plan to tidy up and eventually get into the house, will probably go for some multiple game PC based system rather than proper arcade board. Not sure I will get away with your choice of carpet though!

It's not that hard to build your own... Up until 2 year ago I had never touched a power tool in my life.

Nice. I saw your Sharcade project log - did you do one for Moonwalker?

No. It's pretty much the same process.... As it was the same shape. I changed a few things from my sharcsde project... Notably

- added a keyboard drawer as I didn't want to keep going around the back
-used a cheap pc instead of a raspberry pi
-subsequebtly changed the front end (big box is much much better)
- changed design, my first build used a full door poster cut to size and glued on. My moonwalker build was spray painted black and a few decals added.

Awesome idea - have you seen someone else do it before?.
Would've thought he wallpaper etc might be a nightmare to get a hold of?

No. Would make it easier in some ways if I had something has point of reference. Googling around does bring up some similiar things but not what I have in mind.

I say "inspired" as there will not be any "Arcades" in there as such initially but there will be 4 PC's, hopefully a snooker table and neon signs and lots of "mood" lighting.

First snag seems to be that the carpet being "industrial" can only be ordered in large quantities. Mmm... will see what can be done.

Regarding Neon signs, how about these:
