I just bought one, QLED, 144Hz unfortunately freesync not freesync 2 but its the latest for this resolution. The official monitor of the 2017 playerunknown's battleground tournament apparently. Some of the higher res versions have freesync 2 (there is a 3840x1080). Can't wait any longer for new monitor, having issues with my vega 56 which may be solved with a display port connection.

Its the never model of CFG70

I had this for a couple of days. Good screen but I found it too small, vertically compared to 16:10
Scratches on the screen
Blocky graphics in BIOS.
Screen sits too far back.

Ideally I'd want to get 27" 1440p but that's more than double the price

@southernorth I'll report back on wednesday-friday awaiting delivery.

@hornetstinger. I'm set on 1920x1080, hopefully I get a new one with no dead pixels.

I hear there will be a 0.5ms screen coming from AOC.. in April:

I fixed my garbled text by reverting to 17.7.2 which is prior to the launch driver for rx vega. I played quake champions with 17.8.2, yet to do so on this driver. I've been doing a bit of benching.

Now that I have that text corruption out of the way, I should be stripping the cooler off to fit my OcUK techlabs AIO gpu cooler.

I think I saw your review on the rainforest. Did they not offer to send you a 3rd one (with a discount I should hope) or did you give up?

interesting that VA is still alive, given I think consumer IPS viewing angles are now no better than VA, but VA has much superior blacks, VA might be the way I go in future.

Sadly as is the case with all gamer focused screens I wouldnt get this screen tho as they lacking DVI and VGA ports, a monitor for me needs to be versatile as my main screen has my xbox360, ps4, PC all plugged into it.

I still use my xbox360 and it outputs via VGA ;) so not dead.

There is a lot of devices out there aside from old consoles that use VGA as well. :)

Not everyone just plugs monitors into high end discrete GPUs :)

VGA with it been analogue is hard to convert to another input type, VGA to DVI/HDMI is a massive pain. Much less than say DVI to HDMI.

didnt know, but sometimes I connect my laptop and that is vga out.

Also my xbox360 uses a complex cable where it outputs the sound signal to my soundcard, not sure if such a cable exists for the hdmi out but I will check out of curiosity.

I have the monitor, and I noticed games in combination with my rx vega 56 look a lot nicer. There are 3 quick select settings. I have default, freesync standard enabled and faster response time (no freesync). Also the drivers have enhanced sync, which IIRC is a sync without freesync. I'm a bit bewildered on which settings to try. I didn't have a problem with any except I put it on faster responce time since its is less bright. I'm not using Chill yet.

The drivers specifically for vega 17.7.2 & 17.8.2 have the text corruption in google search bar which can reboot my PC. I've done a problem report, hopefully this will get fixed as its quite bad really. On win 7 64bit. I've tried display port and previously hdmi with the old monitor and problem must be down to drivers (since older drivers which prohibit me playing games do not exhibit this problem).
