Help! Case fans not working.

I have a Phanteks Eclipse P400 Midi case and a Gigabyte AB350M-Gaming 3 motherboard.

I have an issue where the stock case fans aren't working.

Rest of the PC and components work fine - currently installing windows!

I do have two spare unconnected case cables, which I think might be the ticket. But they use small, brown, block-ish 3 hole connectors.

However, the two SYS FAN connectors on the motherboard are 4 pin.

I can't find where else to plug them in so am a bit stuck.

I've attached a screenshot showing me holding the 3 hole connector with the 4 pin SYS fan socket on the motherboard just above my hand, to the right of the chunky plugged in USB 3.0 cable.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

May have just answered my own question - do 3 pin case fan cables work in 4 pin motherboard connectors?

In this case I think 4th pin is optional, for PWM, so should be able to just plug them in?

Yes.

Look at a 4pin connector and the plastic tab is placed across just 3 of the 4pins so you know where to put a 3pin fan.
