You can get boards for well under £100 if shop around. I can't see h/b370 (or whatever) being massively cheaper.

If you shop around you can pick up new Z370 MB for just over £90.00 Well worth the extra £30 for future proofing overclocking cpu and memory. For example a few years from now you could pick up a S/H 4 or 6 core unlocked for less than half the price they are today. Just get the MSi Z370 A Pro £91.00 a few weeks back, and stick a 8100 (4 cores locked) to tied you over.

I wondered this as well as I need a cheap itx board and I'm thinking AM4 or coffee lake

I am waiting for the H series stuff.

For non K chips for cheap and compact gaming systems they are great, and should be cheap compared to the Z.
