My chocolate sponge pudding and chocolate custard!
Tastes great and came out perfect. The recipe for anyone interested.
Sponge:
175g butter
175g caster sugar (I used golden caster)
125g self raising flour
50g cocoa powder ( I think slightly less would be fine if you prefer it to be milder as it's quite a strong flavour but nice)
3 eggs (could use large, I only have medium sized)
First sift flour and cocoa powder into bowl. Then add the rest of ingredients and mix well. Butter a bowl, add mixture, cover with a dish and microwave for about 3 and a half to 4 minutes.
Custard:
1 and a half tablespoons of cornflour
Half a tablespoon of cocoa powder
2 to 3 tablespoons of sugar
3/4 pint of milk. (I used full fat milk)
Pour most of the milk into a saucepan, and pour a little into a jug. Boil the milk.
Add the cornflour, sugar and cocoa powder to the jug and whisk to make a paste.
Pour the boiled milk into the jug, stir, pour back to the saucepan, boil, pour back into jug, drizzle over the sponge and enjoy.
