OcUK HQ Motors Meet - Saturday 3rd March 2018

I’m going to approach the M.D. of my employer to see if he’d have any objection to me turning up in my Scania R Series HGV (it seems almost rude not to!) - I suspect he’ll be cool with it, I may even persuade him to bring his Ferrari 458 Italia DCT.... - my better half says she’ll happily bring my 735 though....

Any issue with an HGV turning up? With or without 13.6m trailer???? @Gibbo
 
Im borderline tempted to come to this even tho I predominately lurk, and my 4 wheesl are nothing compared to some of these beasts. Also got a feeling I'll be a baby coming at 21 :P
 
Argh, typically I’m on call for this so won’t be able to make it. Looks like a great event and I hope to attend the next one! Would be a bit like a pilgrimage to head to the home of OcUK!

don't worry, we will have a big mix of ages, we usually do.
 
I know, I did consider a Z4 when looking at my new car. Just didn't want to do it due to going End of Line, and rumours of a Z5 coming.
Went for Nissan in the end, being a jap fan also swayed me too.

Z4 is a bit boring to look at compared to the 370Z in all fairness, the 370Z also sounds nicer.

The Z5 should be totally insane if BMW match the concept design, as the Z5 is the new Supra, just a different frock I believe as the new Supra and Z5 is a joint venture between BMW and Toyota, it should be amazing.

It's confirmed it won't be a z5. It's still a z4. Confirmed though and out later this year I believe. It's going to see a z4m which I believe uses the engine from the m2! Just tried to find the source and it's gone so maybe not...

I'd agree with this, the 370z is lovely. I'm in the old Z4 though, around the same time as the 350z, and they were in all honesty the only 2 cars I was considering. Ended up in the BMW due to two points, the insurance premium on the 350z was ridiculous, over double the Z4 despite similar performance, and I wanted a bit of roof down. The 350z convertible doesn't do anything for me personally.

I've had a bit of a tinker with the exhaust though, so it sounds more like a 6 pot should sound from the factory now :D

Also read this somewhere, it's basically going to be the M2 running gear in a roadster body... What's not to love about that idea.
