Who's ditching 1080 for 2080? (11 series ) ?

I have 4 1080s. I shall not be upgrading them.

I’ll be swapping my 1080 for Evga 1180ti when it comes out. Should have gone for a Ti 9 months ago as it was only £150 more then my 1080.

I have 7 years warranty on my Evga 1080ti. I will hold on to it until it dies. Maybe when it does Evga can give me a new gen card as replacement

I'm in the same boat. I won't say I have buyer's remorse but I think I could have spent my budget more wisely. I bought a 1080 with a Ryzen R7 1700 and a 240mm AIO.

In hindsight I would have ditched the AIO and gotten a 1080Ti, maybe drop the 1700 to a 1600X if needs be and taken a £50 air cooler instead.

I just like feeling like I can max anything at 1080p and I may go VR soon.

What are people selling the 1080s for in MM? Man I wish I had access to that section.

I will be waiting years or maybe a month if I post spam like crazy, seems more busy than ebay that place.

I thought I wouldnt want to upgrade my 1070 for years, but its not up to been a universal 1440p card.

I’m still happy with my 1080Ti and there aren’t really many games where I would justify a new card. I ideally want to wait for the next Ti.

Sad thing is it’s VERY likely there will be no stock for months. It was pretty bad at launch on pascal without mining. Now with the mining craze and current stupid pricings, damn it’s not going to be good.

The pricing is the only thing that may sway me. £500ish and a reasonable bump in perf and I might be tempted.

im guessing a 10% bump from the TI, not worth it unless you are 1080 or below. as is normally the case with new generations
