Hi all,

Going up to Sheffield tomorrow to see Bastille and wondering if anyone can recommend a decent restaurant near the town hall? Also any nice bars, preferably somewhere with a dance floor?

Many thanks

Moved away from Sheffield a while ago, but there are some nice restaurants in Leopold Square which is close to the town hall. I believe Cubana moved there from Trippet Lane. It was great when on Trippet Lane - so maybe good now it's in Leopold Square; then yep - West Street Live. Is The Grapes on Trippet Lane still good? Dunno, I'd check there too.

Yeah agree Cubana in Leopold is great, but i just love Cuba! Kuckoo is funky great cocktail bar round the corner, who i think also do food. Lots of nice bars up Division street.

Aagrah is a Yorkshire based Indian/Curry chain which is very good. Smoke BBQ also. Silversmiths is a nice little place 5 mins away doing 'yorkshire food', but a little more expensive (probably thanks to Gordon Ramsey visiting).

Don't really eat out in the town centre much unfortunately - when i get invited to things, its always to the usual rubbish.
